About Chelsea (she/her)
Who I Work With
You might be someone who is highly capable, insightful, and used to showing up for others, yet internally feels overwhelmed, stuck, or stretched thin. You may be navigating an eating disorder, body image concerns, anxiety, burnout, or a major life transition such as pregnancy, postpartum, or shifting roles and identities. Many of the clients I work with feel a tension between how they appear on the outside and how they feel on the inside, and are ready for something to change.
How I Help
I help clients move out of stuck patterns and toward more intentional, values-aligned ways of living. Our work focuses on building awareness, strengthening skills, and creating sustainable shifts in how you relate to yourself, your emotions, and your choices so you can feel more steady, clear, and grounded in your day-to-day life.
My Approach
With over a decade of clinical experience, I bring a direct, compassionate, and collaborative style to therapy, often with a bit of humor along the way. I believe meaningful change happens within a strong therapeutic relationship, one that balances support with accountability.
I often describe my role as applying “gentle pressure, relentlessly,” helping you translate insight into action. My approach is particularly well-suited for those who are ready for depth, consistency, and a process that moves beyond surface-level change.
My clinical work integrates evidence-based and relational approaches, including:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
EMDR
Relational and psychodynamic therapies
Trauma-informed care
Interpersonal neurobiology
Developmental psychology
Motivational interviewing and harm reduction
My practice is grounded in Health at Every Size® (HAES) and Intuitive Eating principles. I also collaborate with dietitians, psychiatrists, and other providers when appropriate to support comprehensive, coordinated care.
Areas of Focus
I am especially focused on supporting individuals navigating:
Eating disorders and disordered eating
Body image concerns and chronic dieting
Perfectionism, burnout, and high internal pressure
Anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation
Perinatal mental health, including pregnancy and postpartum
Identity shifts and life transitions
What Therapy With Me Feels Like
Our work together is both supportive and focused. I aim to create a space where you feel understood and challenged in ways that lead to meaningful, lasting change. This is an active, collaborative process that invites honesty, reflection, and a willingness to try new ways of thinking and responding.
You do not have to have everything figured out to begin. We can move at a pace that feels both supportive and productive, while still working toward meaningful shifts. If you are looking for a thoughtful, engaged approach to therapy and are ready to invest in meaningful change, I would be honored to work with you.
Training & Experience
My clinical background includes work across inpatient and outpatient settings with individuals experiencing complex and co-occurring concerns, including eating disorders, trauma, and substance use. These experiences shaped a holistic approach that considers biological, psychological, environmental, and sociocultural influences on well-being.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and have provided supervision and mentorship to clinicians since 2019. I earned my Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and Consultant (CEDS-C) designation in 2020 through iaedp™. This designation reflects advanced training, extensive clinical experience, and a rigorous, ongoing commitment to specialized eating disorder care. I also completed training as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C) in 2023 through Postpartum Support International. I completed DBT Skills Training in 2012 and EMDR basic training in 2019, and I remain actively engaged in ongoing consultation and advanced training.
In addition to my clinical work, I provide consultation, supervision, and training for clinicians through Healgood Collective and WisePractice Institute. I have held leadership roles with Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists (CTEDS) and Association for Size Diversity and Health, and have presented at local, state, regional, national, and international conferences.
Services & Fees
30-MINUTE CONSULTATION | FREE
New clients are offered a free initial 30-minute phone or face-to-face consultation. During a consultation, the therapist is happy to answer any questions you may have for them. You can discuss things like what to expect from therapy and what you are looking for in a therapist. You can also briefly discuss the concerns you are having and your reason for seeking counseling to ensure that you and the therapist you’re interested in working with will be a good fit for working together.
90-MIN HOLISTIC BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL INTAKE SESSION | $295
This session is different from a consult session. This initial session allows you to relay important history and background information, discuss in detail what brings you to counseling, and what you hope to gain from counseling. It also includes initial treatment planning and collaboration with other providers, such as psychiatrists, dietitians, and other therapists.
