Healgood Collective

A Community For Independent Therapists

Professional Office Space + Clinical Consultation + Practice Support in Central Northwest Austin

You became a therapist to help people — not to do this alone.

Private practice offers freedom and flexibility, but it can also bring quiet pressure: creating policies, managing overhead, navigating complex clinical cases, and making every decision solo.

The work is meaningful, but the isolation, overhead, and constant problem-solving can leave even the most passionate clinicians feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.

The Healgood Collective℠ was created to change that.

We offer independent therapists a professional home where you maintain full autonomy while receiving the community, consultation, and support that make this work sustainable.

Here, private practice doesn’t mean piecing everything together by yourself.

As a part of the Healgood Collective, you’re independent — but never isolated.

What We Provide

Real, grounded solutions for solo clinicians, including:

Flexible, all-inclusive office leases that ease the burden of practice overhead

Bi-weekly in-person consultation groups fostering reflective, ethical practice

Practice-building guidance, coaching, and development tools for sustainable growth

Access to continuing education, community resources, and workshops

A collegial network that values reflection and collaboration over competition

Meet Chelsea & Bernadette

Over a Decade of Building Support. A Partnership Built on Trust.

The Healgood Collective℠ is the culmination of two parallel journeys that kept intersecting —

until they converged into something neither could have built alone.

Chelsea Fielder-Jenks

LPC-S, CEDS-C, PMH-C

Founder & Lead Consultant

Chelsea’s Journey

Chelsea has spent her career building support systems for clinicians — starting in 2012 with a workshop for LPC-Interns (now called LPC Associates) navigating licensure, then through her "Practice Development" focus in supervision that integrated business skills with clinical training, to the Healgood Collective today.

When she launched her private practice in 2017, she pieced together the community and support she needed, learning that while it worked, it was unnecessarily scattered. The Collective is what she wishes had existed: a place where infrastructure, community, and support are already in place.

As an LPC-Supervisor specializing in dialectical behavior therapy, eating disorders, perinatal mental health and clinical supervision, Chelsea provides one-on-one consultation for members, co-facilitates consultation groups, and brings both clinical depth and real-world business experience. She's also co-founder of WisePractice Institute, where she trains clinicians in effective, ethical, and relational clinical supervision.

What drives Chelsea: A commitment to ensuring clinicians have access to the support and community that helps them build practices they're proud of — without having to piece it all together alone.

Bernadette Chavez Piñon

LPC, SEP, EMDR-Trained

Community Director & Consultant

Bernadette’s Journey

After nearly a decade running her own solo practice, Bernadette understands both the freedom and the isolation of independent practice intimately. She knows what it's like to love the work while feeling the weight of making every decision alone.

She's been vocal about rejecting hustle culture and perfectionism disguised as "balance", instead advocating for values-driven decisions that honor what matters most in each moment — a philosophy central to how the Collective supports clinicians.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and EMDR-trained clinician, Bernadette brings expertise in trauma-informed care, somatic therapies, and culturally responsive practice. But what makes her exceptional in the collective is her ability to create spaces where clinicians feel safe being vulnerable about what they don't know.

Bernadette co-facilitates the collective's bi-weekly consultation groups with a style that balances structure with spaciousness, depth with warmth. As Community Director, she ensures the collective feels like more than just a place to work — organizing workshops, book clubs, meditation breaks, and gatherings that build genuine connection.

What drives Bernadette: A commitment to ensuring no clinician has to navigate private practice feeling as alone as she sometimes did — and a belief that our best clinical work happens in community, not isolation.

Their Shared Journey

Over a decade of collaboration and connection has shaped Chelsea and Bernadette’s work together. From their early days as colleagues at the University of Texas Counseling and Mental Health Center, to members of the Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists, where they each served on the board, to years spent in the same consultation group navigating the realities of private practice.

That history built more than a friendship — it built the trust, shared values, and insight into what clinicians truly need, which ultimately shaped the vision of the Collective.

When Bernadette joined Healgood in 2024, what was forming organically became intentional: A collective where independent clinicians can find both autonomy and belonging — where sustainable, ethical practice is supported by community.

Who This Is For

The Healgood Collective is designed for fully licensed clinicians (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PhDs, PsyDs) who are:

Transitioning from agency work to private practice. You’re ready for autonomy but don’t want to feel adrift. A collective gives you community, stability, and guidance without the pressure or demands of agency life.

Building or expanding a solo private practice. You want independence and flexibility within a strong community. You’re craving a steady, supportive structure that helps you grow sustainably.

Looking for stability without the burden of business overhead. You want the benefits of a beautiful office and shared amenities without taking on leases, utilities, taxes, insurances, or management responsibilities.

Seeking a professional environment with optional clinical consultation. You want a calm, well-appointed setting where you can think deeply, practice confidently, while having access to consultation when complex cases arise or practice dilemmas emerge.

Clinicians who value collaboration over competition. You want colleagues you can trust — people who exchange referrals, process tough cases, and celebrate professional wins. You believe we strengthen our clinical skills when we learn in community.

Practitioners who believe community makes us better clinicians. You know ethical, attuned care is supported by consultation, accountability, and shared wisdom. Our work is stronger when we’re not doing it in isolation.

Committed to ethical, evidence-informed, affirming and culturally responsive practice. You want a professional home aligned with high standards, integrity, and ongoing clinical growth — not a hustle-focused, numbers-driven environment where volume matters more than values.

Why This Tier Is Different

Most private practice courses are one-size-fits-all, delivered to hundreds of people with no ongoing support. They end after 6-8 weeks, leaving you to figure out implementation alone.

The Full Collective is different because:

Ongoing support throughout your term, not just a short course

Personalized guidance tailored to your values, goals, and specific challenges

Integrated approach that combines office space, peer consultation, and coaching

Real relationships with a small cohort of peers at similar stages

Accountability that keeps you moving forward when things get hard

Values-driven focus on building something sustainable, not just profitable

This isn't information you could Google or download. It's relationship-based support from clinicians who’ve built successful practices and want to help you do the same — in a way that actually fits your life.

 FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is membership application-based?

We intentionally maintain a small, values-aligned community. Our goal isn’t to fill offices — it’s to cultivate a collective of clinicians who value ethical reflection, consultation, and sustained connection. An application process ensures each member both contributes to and benefits from the community, supporting a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and care.

Who gets priority in the application process?
  • Tier 2 & Tier 3 applicants committing to 6–12 month terms
  • Clinicians who align with our core values (ethical, affirming, culturally responsive)
  • Applicants seeking consistent participation in consultation/community life

When space is limited, we maintain a waitlist and notify candidates as openings arise.

Can I upgrade my tier during my membership term?

Yes. You can upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 2 or Tier 3 at any time. The price difference is prorated for the remainder of your term. Increasing your number of office days or changing specific days is possible but subject to current availability.

What are the membership terms?

To foster a stable, committed community, we prioritize 6–12 month (or longer) subleases. Limited flexible options may occasionally be available depending on current capacity — please reach out to discuss what’s possible.

Can I switch or add office days later?

Yes, however any changes must be approved in writing and are subject to availability. We do our best to accommodate requests while maintaining consistency for all members.

I’m not sure which tier fits. Can you help?

Absolutely. Start with the quick decision tool below, or book a free 15-minute clarity call. We’ll discuss your stage of practice, the support you’re seeking, your ideal schedule, and which tier best fits your goals and budget. We want you in the right tier — not necessarily the most expensive one.

Find Your Fit

Answer a few quick questions to see which membership tier may best support your current stage of practice.

1) What kind of support are you seeking?
2) How many in-person sessions do you anticipate weekly?

This guide is informational only and doesn’t replace a conversation about your specific goals, timeline, and budget.

Do I have to be fully licensed to join?

Yes. The Collective is for fully licensed clinicians (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, LCP) in independent practice. Note: Supervision for pre-licensed clinicians is not included in membership, though it is available separately through Healgood Supervision.

Can I see clients virtually from the office?

Absolutely. Many members use their offices for both in-person and telehealth sessions. Each suite is private, quiet, and configured to support HIPAA-compliant workflows on your end.

How many members do you accept?

Membership is intentionally limited to preserve depth and quality of support. Tier 2 and 3 in-person consultation groups are typically capped at 8 members to ensure meaningful participation.

What if I only want consultation (no office)?

We offer both virtual and in-person consultation groups for therapists who already have their own office space. Learn more or inquire about openings here.

Do you offer tours?

Yes — and we highly encourage you to schedule one. You’ll be able to see private offices, shared spaces, the group/workshop room, and get a genuine sense of the culture and atmosphere. Schedule a tour or clarity call using the buttons on this page.

What’s the application process?
  1. Apply Online (10–15 minutes): share your license, specialties, preferred tier and days, desired start date, and how you hope to engage in community.
  2. Clarity Call and/or Tour (20–30 minutes): discuss fit, alignment, and availability, and get answers to your questions.
  3. Decision (typically within one week of your call/tour): If accepted, you’ll receive your sublease, membership agreement, and welcome guidebook. If not the right fit or timing, we’ll offer alternative resources and/or place you on our waitlist.
Is malpractice (professional liability) insurance included?

No. Members are required to carry their own professional liability insurance (minimum coverage limits of 1M/3M are typical). Proof of coverage is required during onboarding.

Am I an employee or contractor of Healgood?

Neither. You operate your own independent practice. Your relationship with Healgood is a membership/sublease that includes access to space, amenities, and community benefits (and, for Tiers 2–3, consultation or coaching). Healgood does not supervise your clinical work, bill clients, or direct your operations.

Can you provide a W-9?

Yes. We can provide a W-9 upon request. Most members treat membership and office costs as ordinary business expenses — please consult your CPA for advice specific to your practice.

When can I access the building?

Access depends on your membership level: Full-time members enjoy 24/7 access; part-time members access the office on their designated days. If you occasionally need access outside your schedule, reach out — we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Note: Weekly housekeeping occurs on Friday mornings (6–10 am), though this is subject to change.

How does the group/workshop room booking work?

Members may reserve the group/workshop room through a shared calendar on a first-come, fair-use basis. During high-demand times, reasonable limits may apply to ensure equitable access for all.

Can I personalize my office?

Light, non-structural personalization is welcome — artwork, desk items, plants, etc. Permanent changes (wall mounting, furniture swaps, paint, etc.) require prior approval to maintain building standards and safety.

Are there community expectations?

Yes. The Collective is a participatory community built on mutual respect and professionalism. Members agree to uphold shared norms of courtesy, confidentiality (including within consultation), inclusivity, and respect for shared spaces. Community Standards are outlined in the Membership Agreement.

What about safety, privacy, and HIPAA?

The Collective maintains a calm, professional environment with sound masking, private suites, and secure shredding. Each member is responsible for their own HIPAA-compliant systems (EHR, BAAs, telehealth platform, device security, etc.). Our Welcome Guide includes best-practice reminders for maintaining compliance and client privacy.

How are payments handled? Are there deposits or fees?

Monthly membership payments are made by check. A security deposit may be required and is refundable according to sublease terms. Late payments, cancelled checks, lost keys, or damages may incur standard fees, outlined in the Membership Agreement.

Can I pause or exit early?

We understand that life happens. In qualifying circumstances (e.g., medical leave, relocation), limited pause or early-termination options may be available with advance notice, per your agreement. We aim to be flexible while maintaining consistency for the broader community.

Do you raise rates?

Occasionally. Rate adjustments ensure services remain current and sustainable. Any changes are communicated well in advance and typically take effect at renewal unless otherwise agreed.

Do you provide marketing or referrals?

While we don’t guarantee referrals, members benefit from: organic referrals within the community, optional directory listings, and consultation-based visibility of your specialties. We also provide CE and practice-development opportunities to strengthen ethical marketing and professional visibility.

Are therapy or service animals allowed?

Yes — provided they comply with all building and clinical requirements. Details and expectations are outlined in the Membership Agreement.

Is the building accessible?

The building has ground-level suites and ample parking, but it is not formally ADA-certified. Two gender-neutral restrooms are available. If you or your clients have specific accessibility needs, please let us know so we can help accommodate them wherever possible.

What makes the Healgood Collective different?

We're not a WeWork for therapists. Those are transactional, isolating spaces with no community infrastructure.

We're not a group practice. You're an independent clinician with your own practice, clients, and business — no hierarchy, no splitting fees, no someone else making decisions for your practice.

We're not a practice-building course. Those end after 6-8 weeks. We provide ongoing support integrated into your actual practice space.

We're not a networking group. Those are superficial and time-limited. We're building genuine peer relationships through consistent, meaningful interaction.

We're a community of independent clinicians who:

  • Value both clinical excellence and business sustainability

  • Want the freedom of private practice without the isolation

  • Believe marketing should feel authentic, not gross

  • Understand that sustainable practices serve clients better than burnout

  • Are committed to doing this work in a way that honors their values

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you!
