Empowering Teens with Skills for Emotional Resilience

Healgood’s 3-day Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Workshop for Teens is designed to equip teens with essential coping skills for managing emotions, navigating relationships, and increasing distress tolerance — just in time for the new school year!

Why Join This Back-to-School Intensive?

Structure & Support: A structured, safe, and supportive space for teens to explore their emotions, build emotional IQ, and express themselves creatively. We’ll focus on creating structure during the transition out of summer and “coping ahead” for the school year.

DBT-Based Experiential Curriculum: Teens will participate in expressive art & journaling, interactive games, group therapy, mindful meals, movement, and more!

Joy & Connection: We foster social connections, self-esteem, and a sense of personal agency through fun, expressive activities.

Individualized Goals: Each teen’s experience is tailored to support their unique needs and goals.

Self-Compassion & Confidence: Teens will build self-awareness, social skills, and self-compassion as they prepare for the challenges of the academic year.

  • Equity Pricing: In order to provide the workshop to as many teens and families as possible, we have instituted a sliding pay scale for our workshop. The goal is to provide broader accessibility while still fairly compensating the facilitators by having attendees pay based on their financial means in accordance with our Sliding Scale Policy. The breakdown of our tuition fees for the workshop works like so:

  • Standard Tuition | $400: This is the base price for the workshop. If you don’t have any financial hardship, we encourage you to support the workshop with this price.

  • Equity Tuition | $300: Consider paying this amount if the Standard price of the workshop would create a financial burden. Note, if this amount is still infeasible, please reach out to us.

  • Pay It Forward Tuition | $500: Consider paying this amount if you are able to contribute to ensuring that all those who want to attend the workshop can.

PDSES Grants Accepted | Healgood is an authorized Texas Education Agency (TEA) Parent-Directed Special Education Services (PDSES) Provider (formerly Supplemental Special Education Services (SSES) Program).
