About Alex

It takes an incredible amount of strength and vulnerability to reach out for help when you need support.  I am passionate about supporting adolescents, teens and young adults in navigating life’s challenges with authenticity, connection, and hope.  I have experience in residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings to support the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and depression. My priority is to provide a safe and compassionate space where you can feel supported, seen and understood.

I believe in modern holistic therapy, meaning I don’t subscribe to the “one size fits all” approach.  My approach is integrative and collaborative, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic approaches while tailoring interventions to fit your unique needs I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inference-Based Cognitive Therapy (I-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size principles into my sessions.  The therapeutic relationship we build will be the agent of change, together we will venture into a space of courage and empower your individual authenticity.  I consider it a privilege to hold space for your story and help begin the process towards meaningful change.

When I am not in session, you can find me at the latest food truck parks with my pup Riles, photographing my travels, reading in Zilker park, and playing board games with friends.
