— A Healgood Collective Workshop —

Friday, December 11, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
At Healgood | Central/Northwest Austin, Texas

Facilitated by Chelsea Fielder-Jenks, LPC-S, CEDS-C, PMH-C

3-Hour Workshop | Includes 1 Ethics & Distinct Populations CE Hour
Limited to 7 Participants | Equity-Based Registration: $65–$155

78 Cards. 7 Therapists. 1 Very Different CE Hour.

After our sold-out October workshop, we're bringing back the Therapist's Tarot Social for another afternoon of learning, creativity, reflection, and connection!

Whether you already have a favorite deck or have absolutely no idea what the Major Arcana is, you're welcome here.

No tarot experience required. Just bring your curiosity!

Part Continuing Education. Part Reflective, Experiential Workshop. Part Social.

We'll explore tarot's history, symbolism, and the ways storytelling and meaning-making show up in the cards. We'll also discuss what research does (and doesn't) tell us about tarot, what it may mean to clients who bring it into therapy, and the professional ethics involved.

Yes, there will be references. And yes, they'll be cited APA style. 🤓

But we won't spend three hours watching PowerPoint slides.

After exploring the foundations, we'll make time to work with the cards ourselves—including approximately 30 minutes of quiet individual reflection with your journal, followed by partner readings, conversation, and hands-on practice.

Add creative materials, snacks, and a small group of fellow therapists, and you've got a Friday afternoon of professional learning that feels a little different.

What We'll Explore

  • Tarot 101: Tarot's history, myths, traditions, and the structure of a 78-card deck.

  • Symbolism & Storytelling: The Major and Minor Arcana, the Hero's Journey, metaphor, and personal meaning-making.

  • Research & Reflection: What research does and doesn't support about tarot as a reflective tool and proposed clinical intervention.

  • Tarot in the Therapy Room: The personal, spiritual, religious, and cultural meanings tarot may hold for clients.

  • Ethics & Clinical Responsibility: Competence, scope of practice, informed consent, client autonomy, cultural humility, professional boundaries, clinical rationale, and potential risks.

  • Spreads & Readings: Familiar tarot spreads, individual reflection, and opportunities to practice with a partner.

  • Creativity & Connection: Guided journaling, creative exploration, and conversation with fellow clinicians.

Your Tarot Journal + Materials

Each participant receives a printed copy of The Therapist's Tarot Journal: Workshop Edition, created especially for this gathering.

We'll use the journal throughout the afternoon for notes, card spreads, guided reflection, and creative activities. It's yours to keep and continue exploring at home.

Your registration also includes:

  • The full three-hour workshop and facilitated activities

  • Journaling and creative supplies

  • Tarot decks available for use during the workshop

  • Individual reflection and partner practice

  • Light snacks and refreshments

  • A surprise take-home party favor

  • One CE hour addressing Ethics and Distinct Populations topics, subject to individual licensing requirements

  • A CE certificate for eligible participants who complete the designated requirements

You're welcome to bring a favorite deck, but you don't need to bring or purchase anything.

Who Is This For?

The Therapist's Tarot Social is designed for mental health professionals who are curious about tarot, symbolism, creative reflection, and the ways these practices intersect with therapeutic work—or who simply want to learn something different and connect with other clinicians.

You don't need previous tarot experience, your own deck, experience using tarot clinically, or a belief in its predictive or spiritual properties.

Skeptics, enthusiasts, beginners, and everyone in between are welcome.

Curiosity is enough!

Continuing Education: 1 Ethics & Distinct Populations CE Hour

One hour of the three-hour workshop is designated for continuing education covering professional ethics and competency considerations related to clients who engage with tarot as a personal, spiritual, religious, or culturally meaningful practice.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the designated CE portion, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify ethical considerations involving competence, scope of practice, clinical rationale, and accurate representation of evidence.

  2. Describe personal, spiritual, religious, and cultural meanings tarot may hold for clients, and how cultural humility and autonomy inform clinical responses.

  3. Differentiate client-led meaning-making from therapist-imposed interpretation.

  4. Apply ethical considerations about professional boundaries and multiple relationships to tarot-related clinical scenarios.

The remaining portions of the workshop are experiential, creative, and social and are not designated for continuing education credit.

CE Credit Information

Chelsea Fielder-Jenks, LPC-S (#69697), holds supervisor status through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.

This offering provides one total CE hour addressing Ethics and Distinct Populations topics, not two separate CE hours. Participants are responsible for determining whether the training qualifies toward either subject-specific requirement and whether the provider meets the qualifying-provider criteria applicable to their license.

BHEC does not preapprove individual CE courses or providers.

A certificate of completion will be provided to eligible attendees after completion of the designated educational portion and event evaluation.

Equity-Based Registration

Choose the Rate That Best Fits Your Resources

I want professional learning and community experiences like this to remain financially accessible while also being sustainable to create and offer.

Our equity-based sliding scale is a trust-based system. Participants select the rate that best reflects their current access to financial resources.

Every registration tier includes exactly the same workshop experience, journal, materials, refreshments, and continuing education. There are no additional benefits for choosing a higher rate, and no explanation or documentation is required.

A Little Guidance

If your financial circumstances allow you to contribute at a higher rate without significant hardship, consider choosing the Sustaining, Community Supporter, or Pay-It-Forward tier.

If a higher rate would create financial strain or make participation inaccessible, the Equity and Supported tiers are available.

We invite participants to choose the highest rate that feels comfortably accessible. Higher-rate registrations help sustain the workshop and make reduced-rate participation available to others.

To learn more about this philosophy, read Embracing an Equitable Sliding Scale.

$65 — Equity Rate

For clinicians who would otherwise experience a financial barrier to participating.

$95 — Supported Rate

For clinicians who would benefit from additional financial flexibility and for whom the Sustaining Rate would be difficult to afford.

$125 — Sustaining Rate

Our standard workshop rate, designed to support the direct costs of the event, including materials, refreshments, facilitation, and continuing education administration.

$140 — Community Supporter Rate

For clinicians with additional financial flexibility who would like to help sustain the workshop, support the time and resources involved in developing it, and make reduced-rate participation possible.

$155 — Pay-It-Forward Rate

For clinicians who are comfortably able to contribute more toward accessible professional learning, creative experiences, and community connection.

All five registration rates include the same experience and benefits.

Event Details & Important Information

A Note on Tarot + Clinical Practice

This workshop explores tarot as a symbolic and reflective practice, including the meanings it may hold for clients and the ethical considerations involved when tarot enters psychotherapy.

Participation does not establish certification, specialized credentialing, or independent competence in tarot-integrated clinical work. The workshop does not teach or endorse tarot as a method of psychological assessment, diagnosis, prediction, or treatment.

Clinicians remain responsible for practicing within their competence and scope, meeting applicable ethical and legal requirements, and exercising appropriate clinical judgment.

Registration & Cancellation Policy

Advance registration is required. Attendance is limited to seven participants to preserve space for discussion, conversation, comfortable space, and hands-on activities.

Because attendance is limited and event expenses are prepared in advance, all registrations are final and nonrefundable.

Refunds or credits are not provided for participant cancellations, inability to attend, late arrival, early departure, or failure to complete the event requirements.

If Healgood cancels the event, participants may choose a full refund or apply their registration payment toward a rescheduled event or another eligible offering.

Registration is subject to Healgood's Workshop & Continuing Education Event Terms of Service, which participants review and accept at checkout.
